We just wanted to pop in with a quick message:
Have you lost your extra income during the corona pandemic? If so, there might be a solution for you.
All tenants aged 18 – 29 are eligible to apply for housing cost benefits from Försäkringskassan. The benefits are reviewed and decided upon with your income, cost of housing, size of apartment and if you’ve got roommates or not.
When applying you will enter your expected income for the coming year. By income they mean both income from work but also 80 percent of your student allowance from CSN.
So, if you find yourself in a position without your extra income, it would make sense to check if you are eligible for housing cost benefits from Försäkringskassan.

Note that the decision might also be dependent on your resident status in Sweden so please be sure to investigate further with Försäkringskassan.
