Quick and easy!

Summer! Do you want to be outdoors 24/7? We do too! Bringing food on adventures is fun, cheap and cozy. Here are a few of our favorite super-quick homemade goodies to take with us. Pack them and we’ll see you at the beach!

Puff Pastry Pirogue Buy a roll of puff pastry, make a filling and stuff the pastry with it, bake and put in the freezer. Perfect to take out whenever you need them.

Tacos Cheater’s lazy tacos. Make a salad with things you want in your taco. Pack tortillas, crème fraiche and salsa.

Savory muffins Make egg muffins and add cheese, spinach, sausage or whatever you like. Make a big batch and put in the freezer to have next time you’re going out.

Flat bread rolls These are great because they need 0 prep. Just buy flatbread and what you want to fill your roll with. Genius.

Watermelon feta cheese salad If you haven’t tried this – do it NOW. This sweet and salty fantastic combination. Dice and put in a container. If you want more in your salad, add some leafy greens, cucumber and basil.

Ice cream Ok, yes, bringing a cooler to the beach makes us feel a little like our grandmothers. But, when you bring the cooler, you can also bring dessert. Hey!! Make your own ice cream with frozen bananas and berries or frozen banana, cacao and chocolate. Mix in a food processor.

Trifle Layer berries, crushed cookies or crackers, lemon curd (ofc it’s fine without lemon curd too, if you don’t happen to have it at home) and yoghurt in a jar. Try not to touch it until after lunch. Or not.

Hope you’re having a great summer so far, filled with adventures! Remember to bring cutlery.
